SOHO: New York Guide

If you have seen my Instagram page _alexaschmitz you know I frequent Soho. It is my favorite place in New York City from the shopping, murals and beautiful architecture it’s a unique place I just can’t get enough of. I put together a few of my favorite spots in Soho, I hope it helps someone visiting!

PLACES TO SEE:
Greene Street:

Hands down my favorite picture spot in all of NYC. Most times you’ll find fashion bloggers trying to get the perfect shot, it’s the best street for outfit pictures especially in front of Saint Laurent đŸ˜‰

Aubrey Hepburn Mural:

395 Broome Street

FOOD:
Brinkley’s:

406 Broome Street
Great spot for brunch! The messy breakfast sandwich is my go to.

Il Corallo Trattoria:

176 Prince Street
A favorite dinner spot in Soho, it’s a cute little Italian restaurant that is reasonably priced and has great quality food. Try any pasta with seafood you won’t be disappointed.

Ladurée:

398 W Broadway
Would it be a Soho guide without mentioning Ladurée?! I have to stop here at the end of every trip to New York, the salted caramel macaroon is the best!

On My List:

By Chloe
240 Lafayette Street
I’ve seen posts about people raving about By Chloe, a vegan restaurant. Although I am not vegan the pictures I’ve seen make me want to give this place a try, there are quite a few locations but recently a restaurant has opened in Soho. Has anyone ever been? Any recommendations on what to order?
*Shopping tip: I’m a huge lover of luxury brands, Soho is know for its luxury stores Chanel, Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton to name a few. New York is filled with some of the best shopping but unfortunately has a much higher tax rate than most states. A higher rate when it comes to luxury items quickly adds up. If you live in a state with a lower tax bracket ship your items home! You’ll pay your state tax instead of the high NYC rate. It’s helped me save a significant amount on those designer pieces, especially shoes!
What’s your favorite place in Soho?
