History of an Iconic Fashion Brand: Louis Vuitton Exhibit

If you are a fashion lover, there is a new exhibit called “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez,” featuring the history of Louis Vuitton. The display, whose title translates to “Fly, Sail, Travel,” is located in the former New York Stock Exchange building now through January 7th, 2018 free of charge. Click Here for ticket reservations.

The world famous luxury brand is showcasing their history with a museum like atmosphere featuring a variety of displays and artifacts. It was a unique experience to visually see how a brand founded in the 1800’s has evolved and grown over the last century. From trunks to couture gowns and luxury handbags, this brand has proven to be always progressing.

The exhibit is set up throughout many rooms, each a different ‘theme’. My favorite was the the celebrity style room which features famous clothing worn on the red carpet throughout the years. Madonna’s Met Gala dress and Nicole Kidman’s Oscar gown are just a few celebrities to wear this iconic brand for various award shows.

The classic monogram print has remained the same since the 1800s and is recognizable world wide. This brand has been able to hold its iconic style and yet adapt with the constant changes in the fashion industry, Louis Vuitton truly is an iconic fashion brand.
